I've lived in London for over 10 years and always been fascinated and horrified by 'the commute.'
A modern ritual practised unflinchingly by millions around the world, day in, day out.
This was a collaborative project with two performance artist friends of mine, Santi and Tom. The process itself was very performative. We new we needed to be quick, so worked out a system to take the shots with very minimal disturbance.
The liberation of being stark naked in front of a sea of people is a feeling many of us secretly yearn for, like a dormant primal instinct, especially in the city with all its phallic suggestiveness.
"The Commute" is a series of pure, unhindered expression in a concrete world. and a deeper dive into the ideas 'Street Photography' could encapsulate.
