Festa (Feast)

The photos shown are related to a traditional summer event that takes place every year in a small town on the Adriatic sea. Plenty of visitors take part to the event, that lasts two weeks, with live music, dance, and costumes. They pour in the streets, everyone wants to be happy. But the pursuit of happiness is a difficult task, and, after all, a vain effort. The feast then shows its true side, the human loneliness, and a deep melancholy pervades everything.
