This series of images encompasses street photos of mainly Kuala Lumpur when the city was about to enter the endemic phase, from early 2022 right up to first quarter of 2023. They are shots of the city’s daily life after pandemic lockdowns. Images of people donning face masks would set this period apart for years to come. Often we will never appreciate the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. These images were mainly shot through glasses and/or reflections as my interpretation in denoting a sense of distance, a quiet desire to put this period of our times as a distant past rather than a lived reality.
