Nighthawks

This series of photos, influenced by the cinema of Hong Kong, the light of the films of Wong Kar Wai, the paintings of Edward Hopper is a proposal of urban scenes captured in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2023. This city has a unique light, a mysterious romanticism, a telluric and mystical energy. Vermilions, greens, golden yellows, neon lights in the night, typographic jungle, complex urbanism, delicate anarchy. The beings that inhabit my images are distant, often from behind, sometimes asleep. They do not look at the lens, they follow a trajectory, a destiny of their own. They are, unlike Norman Rockwell's characters, facing east. On a thread, modernity and spirituality coexist, fight and intertwine to form a multitude of realities.
