This photographic project was born with the idea of capturing the human element inserted in an urban context of daily life. It is a sort of street portrait that aims to depict the flow of everyday life in a city that could be located anywhere in the world, but specifically it is Turin.
These snapshots "freeze" moments and, in most situations, do not allow for replication, often leaving the subject aware of what happened just a moment after the shot was taken.
The choice of black and white responds to a specific expressive need that aims to convey an image without distractions, where light and shadow coexist to generate volumes and differentiate planes.
From a technical point of view, I imposed myself the use of direct flash, even in photos taken in bright daylight and, of course, in those where natural light was not present. This was done to define the subject in the foreground and highlight it against the rest of the scene.
A moderate wide-angle lens did the rest.
