This body of work, 'Temporary' encapsulate a time in my life where I spent more time thinking about the future than I did focusing on the present. I traveled to New York City for two weeks each month when living in Ohio.
These photographs are the result of observing how humans interact in the city - noticing small and subtle vibrations in the ecosystem. Whether we are alone, together, or somewhere in the middle - Alone, Together, we exist in a manner that is outwardly expressive - noticeable and obvious.
These images are a product of growing older, and realizing that what will be will be, and what was can never be again.
Often times, moments of solitude, togetherness, and disconnect occur without anyone knowing. It seems that our expressive nature gets lost when there's no reciprocation. Every now and again, the emotion lost in the ecosystem of humanity comes forth and can be seen again.
Under a Temporary guise, swiftly vanishing instants become tangible.
