Who do you see when you look in the mirror? The reflection shows you a person whose ears are too big, or eyes are too small, or wrinkles are too deep... We are used to looking at ourselves through the cameras of our smartphones. They have many filters or masks that fulfil the promise to remove these flaws from your face, and then you will feel better. Or, perhaps, you want to look completely different from who you are.
So maybe our next step should be a mirror with an integrated filter that you like? Would it make our life better if we always saw the person we would like to look like? What memories do we get about our lives then? Would it be a story of our lives or will we forget who we are?
I'm analyzing reflection and distortions. At what point I still see myself, or is it already a stranger looking back at me?
For my experiments, I use mirrors of various sizes and their combinations, as well as different liquids that can refract the image.
