In my artistic practice I transcend the use of a camera, delving into the essence of the photographic process itself. This project is characterized by what I term "liminagraphy" a concept that encapsulates the exploration of the threshold where light and alchemy transform into tangible matter.
In my darkroom, I engage in an unmediated exploration by exposing photographic materials to an array of objects, light sources, and chemical agents. This liberates me from the constraints of traditional photography, forging a profound and immersive connection with the materials and photographic process.
I transform light’s ephemeral nature into something that can be held and examined. The act of turning light into matter serves as a resounding testament to the interplay between perception and reality. Rather than fixing an image in stasis, I allow it to continuously evolve, responding to its environment like a living being. I also integrate digital technology by scanning my unique images, capturing and preserving their ever-evolving nature. This interplay between impermanence and preservation invites contemplation of the fluidity of existence and the beauty found within the transient.
