This work is part of an on-going project exploring queer identity, fashion and kink against brutalist backdrops between South Florida, New York City and Berlin. Complementing the sharp, geometric architecture, these bold personas are captured one-on-one, constructing intimate moments situated within raw public settings. Some individuals look the camera straight in the eye, others are turned away, unaware they are being observed, but each harnesses their own power and agency. These environmental portraits illuminate a tangled spectrum of feminine and masculine energy, representing queerness as both expressive and functional, similar to the structures that frame them.
