Summoning

In Manchu shaman rituals shamans mostly deal with spirits, summoning them to the world of humans. In this series I I document different rituals that I did in 2020-2021 while practicing and studying the culture of my ancestors. Summoning is a project made of throat singing, photography, video performances. These images depict atmosphere followed by my practice as a shaman. I summoned different spirits to mostly help the local communities and ecosystems, to support genius loci of Cambodian land and to help the space and people to get rid from evil spirits and curses.
