Oh Canada
In the summer of 2011, thanks to a Canada Council for the Arts grant, I took a cross-country road trip photographing Canadians from coast to coast. Being a Canadian and having lived in the US for the last 14 years I had seen more of America (and Europe for that matter) than my own country. Having grown up in Toronto, like any other typical Torontonian, I had never been anywhere other than cottage country or Montreal. This journey opened my eyes to my country and how special Canadians are and I’m currently working on a long-term project photographing Canadians throughout the country.
