Existence in Happiness

My photos explore the individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community in Chicago, IL. I want to give a window and humanity to the queer community. Make people look into the eyes of people who are prosecuted for who they love and considered outside of societal norms. This Project started out as a reaction to all the hate online and a way of showing we are everywhere; we could literally be the person walking next to you on the street. It has since evolved to show each person’s essence and humanity and that they are much more than just the label queer.
