Through these photos I'd like to share how space can change us - it can heal, leave marks or develop symptoms.
I had been living in São Paulo for six years before I left abruptly. The city had freed me in so many ways - yet I felt trapped within myself. Anxious, nervous, always on the brink, and seeing my life pass me by as I worked and worked nonstop.
Moving to the coast side made me see those wounds, heal them and begin exploring the world again.
I don't think I'll ever see big cities with the same amazed eyes - London didn't trick me with its beautiful, clean, and empty streets, with its history, tall buildings, and beautiful parks.
But when I came back to São Paulo again, I could see beauty and poetry in the cracks in the concrete jungle.
I stumbled upon this project by chance, but it marks the external and internal changes in my life through this series of photos.
