Meine Serie ROBOTS zeigt echte Kieswerke. Mit einer Panorama-Fototechnik aufgenommen, vom Hintergrund getrennt, gespiegelt und hochkant gestellt, verwandeln sich die Anlagen, die überall in der Landschaft zu finden sind, zu Robotern.
Es sind keine Fantasie-Gebilde, es sind funktionierende Maschinen, von Menschen geschaffen, und doch wirken sie ausserirdisch.
Mich interessiert der Perspektiv-Wechsel, der gewöhnliche Gegenstände plötzlich in neuem Licht erscheinen lässt und damit unsere Sehgewohnheiten herausfordert.

These are not imaginative constructs; they are functional machines created by humans, yet they appear extraterrestrial.
I am interested in the change of perspective that suddenly casts ordinary objects in a new light, thereby challenging our visual habits.
