The project "Unconventional Portraits: Lightpainting with Optical Fiber" is fascinating and full of creative potential. It combines the concept of unconventional portraits with the technique of lightpainting through the use of an optical fiber leading to surprising and innovative artistic results. Before each shoot, it is interesting to take time to understand the subjects. What are their passions, personalities, and facets, and plan how these characteristics will be represented through lightpainting using fiber optics as a brush.
The camera is set in manual mode to have complete control over aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The use of fiber optics illuminated by LED flashlights to create light effects around subjects during long exposure provides an opportunity to experiment with different shutter speeds and creative movements to achieve unique effects.
This project leads to exploring new artistic possibilities and capturing the beauty and complexity of people through the creative use of fiber optics and lightpainting to create "unconventional," unique portraits.
