Us and Them

This project is simply a story about the beginning to the end. Mannequins, dolls, and statues are display objects, commodities, projections and shadows of subjects in the consumer culture, and they have an existential relationship with us. Sometimes, I can almost feel life’s absurdity, alienation and social discipline on them, as well as those dazzling but fleeting moments. The boundaries between the Other and the Self, God and man, reality and illusion seem less clear. This is a ballade written by non-life for life.
