I’ve been photographing my family on the shores of Craig Pond for years. At first, it was a straightforward documentation of our time together, but as the years pass and my practice and vision has evolved, photographing this environment has taken on a deeper meaning for me. I feel an unmistakable sense that, when surrounded by the cool lake water of Maine during the fleeting months of summer, senses heighten, the noise of the world recedes and a quiet sense of joy and connection to nature emerges. This project is a visual representation of this experience; the colors, the shapes, the blending people and place, immersed in Craig Pond.
