This is a photo series I made for the exhibition of a local camera club. The theme of the exhibition was today's identity of the region where I live in Finland. This is a rather conservative and not so open-minded corner of Finland. I wanted to shake the image and idea a bit, and made a portrait series of Pasi, who is just an ordinary man of the region, with not so ordinary spare time activity as a Burlesque dancer. This Hare is one of his characters on stage. I took the Hare from dark show venue to local field, which is a very typical and classic background for an image of our region.
The photo series is shot on black and white film with a Hasselblad 500cm.
