Mujo

Only Love immortalizes. Only Love humanizes through its fragility. This explains why stories, even when finished, can be an integral part of ourselves. We are that continuum made up of the sum of parts that are born, die and are transformed. This photographic project, entitled Mujo (the Japanese word for impermanence), resulted from the need to integrate the loss of my first love and the acceptance of the essence of life, its constant change. The work is made up of ten photographs: four photographs of sheets (three of which have my poems written on them), a still life, four self-portraits and a landscape. The photographs are arranged in diptychs that aim to represent the coexistence of the real, the lived, with the dreamlike world. This space between where we continue to walk in the discovery of what we are.
