Red Foxes Along Coyote Creek, San Jose, California
On April 28 and April 30, 2023, I went to and from my home in Castro Valley, California, to my Ramrod Ranch in Southern Monterey County. I stopped and photographed the Red Foxes along Coyote Creek in San Jose, California. They were denning in a sand trap in the adjacent Los Lagos Golf Course.
I photographed their activity at one of their den sites during these evenings. This red fox population has been established for years at the golf course and the Coyote Creek riparian habitat next to it.
I intentionally focused on photographing the red foxes to capture the fox kits playing and their interactions with the parents.
See the complete project statement and my comments in the image description section of images #1 and #2.
