Summer in Brighton - timeless captures.

All of my images have a sense of timelessness about them. I like them to feel that you really have to guess what decade the images were taken. Sometimes there's hints of current times such as shopping bags or iphones in the background, but in most instances you really need to look. This was Brighton Beach Summer 2023. I like to bring in to my images all of my senses, how does it feel to look at these images. The feelings I get when I look through these images, they make me feel at ease and warm. I can feel the hot sand under the feet of the volley ball players, I imagine floating on the stillness of the water. I feel the need to concentrate as I make my way across the pebbly beach being careful not to roll an ankle. I can smell the suntan lotion as it mixes in with the sweat of the bodies caused by the heat of the sun and I can hear the seagulls as they squawk above eyeing off any food ready to swoop and steal a chip.
