I love photographing the rugged coastline and temperamental oceans near my home on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
The infrared, long exposure monochromes techniques I incorporate reveals physical & emotional contrasts to fixed objects and those subjects that are free flowing. Ethereal moods are a result of the unseen light our own eyes cannot process captured in the filtered long exposures.
My work is commentary on the environments in which we live that makes viewers look at fixed observations in a different way. Our physical world is taking on new forms and shapes in confluence to human interactions that impede within its natural ways. I love to record these observations in an artistic way that is meaningful.
