There is a Gogatsu Ningyo, a samurai warrior doll in my house. My parents gave it to my firstborn son to celebrate, wishing for a healthy life.
Since then, over 30 years have passed, but I still keep the doll. I just can’t throw it away. Because I feel that a spirit lives within the doll. My family and I have wished for a healthy growth of our son, and I strongly think that those prayers for him are dwelling in the doll. The doll reminds me of the old happy days, which gives me peace and calm.
A few years ago, I had a tough time due to the hard work. I went to the forest and put myself there for a while. The trees cured and rescued me from bitter thoughts. I finally could take my energy back. The peace of mind that I feel with my son’s doll is similar to the feeling.
Trees in nature and things what I put my thoughts into gradually become my guardian gods, and give me a peaceful mind. Now I know that there are a lot of guardian gods by my side. They are my Utopia.
