Above the surface (of the water) much of my work has centered around water, introspection, and emerging from darkness into light. Long moments of silence and self-reflection stand out as defining or favored memories, with water used in moments of renewal, and light in communion with the spirit. I was trained mainly as portrait photographer, so I like to try and catch models between their dynamic and dramatic poses, not candid, but guide them to a moment where they reveal more than the surface skills and catch a glimpse of the interior.
