Sydney Opera House

During a business trip to Australia, I took the opportunity on a day off to photograph the Sydney Opera House, but wanted to capture a different view that is usually available. I was told by one of the persons working there that some of the tiles are deliberately made rough as otherwise the sun reflection would blind people, so I tried to capture this effect by exposing for the highlights and then simply converting to black and white. As some parts of the roof of the Opera House come down to ground level, I was leaning on the roof to get the angles and the texture of the tiles and in some cases the unevenness of the work. My aim was to try and confuse people with probably one of the most well know buildings in the world.
