I use photography as a self-expressive voice. I create pictures of myself, for me – to identify hidden aspects of my character – to better fathom my existential reality – and to utter my personal interpretation of the world which surrounds me. With a more crystallized view of myself and the macrocosm, I am enabled to explore life fragments, which morph over time, and to engage with others not normally within my sphere.
My goal is to use my camera as if Alice's rabbit hole, to reveal a portal to a magical unexplored realm, possessed of curiosities, a wealth of fresh contacts, new possibilities, new starts, and yes, unfamiliar stories.
My decision to shoot self-portraits comes from a place of intuition, and is fueled by an impetuous desire to participate in the narratives that unfold around me. I hunt the unknown, and seek the light secreted within shadows – the stories unnoticed at first glance – and the extraordinary immersed in the ordinary.
I use photography as a means to ponder aging and the vicissitudes of life, and create images which invite close scrutiny to things others overlook. This adventure of exploring the norm
