Chasing the Light

The “Chasing the Light” series tells an intimate vision of the mountain. A vision that harks back to the Sturm und Drang philosophy in which nature is seen as a perfect place within which solitary man finds himself in harmony with creation. In fact, this research revolves around the interpretation of a landscape which is first of all an internal landscape. An interpretation of oneself and of the countless internal landscapes that have stratified in my mind over time. The mountain represents for me the last bastion of salvation away from my peers. An essential, pure environment that still resists the irremediable homologation and domestication of man. The power that flows from the mountain as an expression of the might of nature is perhaps the last great force capable of reducing man's arrogance.
