The 5 Elements

This series is my attempt to capture the 5 primary elements as imagined by our distant ancestors (hence my use of their Sanskrit names) and revealed to me as I traveled through Tasmania in February 2023. I wanted to show that Gaia continues to do her best to remain perfect and pristine despite our best efforts to the contrary. I am currently working on a sister project to this one whereby I identify 5 locations which represent the antithesis of this series in an attempt to highlight those "best" efforts. The resulting 10 images would then be displayed as set of matched pairs representing the dark and light sides of our relationship with our Mother. I present the lighter side of Gaia in this submission. :-) The original images have been sized so that they may be displayed side-by-side with the tops and bottoms of all images aligned.
