Socotra

Everybody that knows about Socotra speaks of it's incredible flora and fauna, and the endemic species that blanket the island, but for me what makes it truly special was the people I met and got to spend time with. Technically part of Yemen, we are warned in the western world to stay clear, and whilst there are difficult political factors at play, I was truly thankful for the experience of travelling to this incredibly special island, often referred to as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean.
