Zombie Generation

In 2017, in South Korea, 0.8% of drug-related criminals were teenagers. In 2022, the rate rose by 1.8%: almost 3 out of 100 drug criminals were teens. Our generation -the Zombie Generation- is growing up in a time where we have become exposed to substance abuse more than any other in history. As a South Korean teenager, I urge the officials of this nation to revive our generation. Korea should not treat drug addiction like other crimes -retribution cannot reverse an addict's dependence. This nation, my nation, needs to take responsibility and revitalize our damaged youth.
