The South Bank of Xiliao River

The diligent and simple farmers are the roots of human civilization, the creators of farming culture, and the indispensable providers of our basic needs. The Liao River is one of the crucial birthplaces of Chinese civilization, with the western branch being its largest tributary. My hometown is situated on the southern bank of the Xiliao River, serving as a convergence point between grassland and agricultural civilization. In this series of works, I deliberately use locally excavated artifacts as the background, placing symbols of agricultural civilization, main crops, and farmers on the same plane under the same lighting to convey respect and tribute to the civilization, farming culture, farmers, and their labors on the southern bank of the Liao River and also aims to enhance the sense of being rich, emotional , and readability of the works.
