Pandemic Fashion is a multidisciplinary art project exploring the influence of the pandemic on market demand in Italy in 2020. Through photography, fashion, and performance, the artist delves into the profound shifts in consumer behavior during the initial quarantine, with a focus on sustainability.
Inspired by the unprecedented buying patterns and product placement in supermarkets, the artist conducted extensive market research and created 12 eccentric looks, with eco-sustainable dresses using recycled materials.
Subsequently, she portrayed herself with these dresses in theatrical poses to convey the meaning and usage of the articles represented by the worn garment.
The project delves into historical, political, and social dimensions, documenting sociological and psychological behaviors while advocating for a more eco-conscious fashion industry.
