The pictures are an approach to describing the personality of a man in his early 60s. To go or to stay? To make or to leave? The space in between is present.
A person is like a black box. What external influences cause or how a person's behaviour develops is not visible from the
outside. It is the same with the appearance. Most of the time we are confronted with the behavior and appearance first, but not with what preceded it. In a life where there are basically no existential worries, there is room for individual fulfillment. When someone has time for themselves and the chance to cut themselves like a diamond, you expect more at the same time. But can the person also be shaped by life then? To go left or right, instead of just staying on a straight route, is a longing that many people carry within them.
This work is the confrontation with this man, whom others might envy for his freedom. His daily life is associated with comparatively few commitments. There are many experiences he has to share. You could say he's swimming against the current. Does that delay the arrival?
The pictures dealt with the multifaceted identity and individual spirit of the protagonist. Does his life shaped a beauty? It seems that the man is in between. They are stagings inspired by my father's life.
