Eleven photographs represent the series entitled: A War Waged in Silence. In each of the images we see a body in constant displacement, with indescribable contours that suggest a continuity without beginning, middle or end. Experiencing trauma is often difficult to process as the experiences happen incomprehensible ways. Through these photographs, I investigate how a body inhabited a persistent state of fear and anxiety, shaped by oppressive family norms in a society deeply rooted in masculinity. What was the trajectory of displacement that this body had to follow until the current moment? What are the invisible marks of a journey full of challenges and overcoming?
