Native Sun Leaves

My project involves a sustainable photography process that allows me to print images on various natural leaves using sunlight. These are portraits of a member of the immigrant Indigenous community of Napa County, a northern California Pomo and Native American activist, and 1992 Nobel Peace prize recipient, Rigoberta Menchú Tum. My project acknowledges the hard work and contributions that these powerful Indigenous women bring to their communities, and to the world.
