Parables for Living

Using painted backdrops and constructed sets my photographs speak about the personal and collective search for character and calling. I am constantly marveling at how individuals and society at large seem to be caught in a continuing spiral of exploration, meaning-making, triumph, and self-sabotage. It has been fascinating to try to coalesce aspects of our individual and collective social and emotional evolution and to make images about that journey.
