I like to photograph people. I am both vulnerable and curious behind the camera. I am attracted to something in them I find familiar. I am an observer of varying levels of consciousness. I move aside and let it unfold in front of the lens. As I look through the finder, my heart is pounding. I turn invisible as all the fragments fall into place. I enter another dimension, (I’m in )a trance. I consider myself a conduit as these extraordinary figures find their way into my frame becoming a monument of my imagination. There is admiration. The moment is personal as we share in this energetic exchange. I rely on intuition and the knowing we are all connected. All that is, collecting in the background, guiding creative inspiration with a click as diverging worlds reveal itself in a flash. In this moment, we are present; we are united in a transference of light.
The world has changed since this collection of photos began (alive since the 90's). Although this series predates social media and its ability to influence for the better, I hoped, eventually, it could shine a light on a newer higher potential of humanity.
I invite the viewer to resonate in this experience with me
