Poertraits of THE FINEST ANGLERS

The Series, ‘THE FINEST ANGLERS’ consist with photography and short episodes with the most creative and distinctive anglers in America. They loved fly fishing the trout, steelhead and salmon. They were the ones who advocated to conserve beautiful nature their whole life. Their dedication for the complicated and complex game of fly fishing rendered truly valuable views and made many followers in the fly-fishing community. They were the ones who influenced and led fly fishing community in America between 1970s and early 2000s. Some of them were gone, and some are still active, however they are all active and alive in this series. The seies consists with episodes of ten anglers. I wrote it after the fashion of Omnibus drama. I published the book, ‘Experts in Fly Fishing’ in 1999, Tokyo, which sold well and reprinted. “You better translate it. It should sell well in this country,” one of my best angling friends suggested. At the time, I was the editor of the ‘FLY FISHERMAN, Japan Edition,’ affiliated with the ‘FLY FISHERMAN’ magazine in this country. So, I began to dig in the archives of the expert anglers who I interviewed, photographed, fished together.
