The word count here very is brief at 195 words and as I identify more as a conceptual lens-based artist than a pure photographer, there will be words. I inject the technical medium of photography with gesture and a painterly sensibility. My artistic practice welcomes Indeterminacy to radically break from tradition, convention, and habit. Cognitive dissonances wake us up to the very life we’re living. I am an experimenter who approaches every project individually—in each situation, and with each person, I collaborate with them as mutually implicated subjects. Because we know there is no such thing as objectivity, right? We work together until they reveal sides of themselves, moments that I fall in love with. Because, for me, that is when a great portrait happens; I fall in love; no matter how briefly, and then I share those moments with you.
