ESPERPENTO

ESPERPENTO (meaning in Spanish): 1. A literary conception in which reality is distorted, emphasizing its grotesque features. 2. Grotesque, eccentric, or bizarre person, thing, or situation. An act of rebellion to break free from imposed beauty. Twenty actors unfold in total freedom, defying the usual standards of a professional photoshoot: the so-called "actor's portfolio" or "book." Thus arises the "antibook," the Esperpento. This series reveals beauty without limitations, capturing the unique and authentic essence of each actor. To the rhythm of Beethoven's 5th Symphony, which accompanied these sessions, the images transcend discomfort, inviting us to appreciate beauty in its rawest and most real form.
