Funny Faces

Every child expresses a lifetime of stories which they share not in words, but through their facial language. They do not hold back. They cannot lie. Each expression is a message to those around them who are willing to look and listen. In this series, the families nieces, nephews and cousins have been gathered in the family's summer house on the island of Crete. This home holds more memories than one might imagine. Joy, love, consideration and momentary mishaps that collectively create familial bonds. Through simple acts of play, these kids create a shared narrative about the nature of all relationships: we love, we live, we pull others towards us, we run from those that seek us, and each moment is overlooked by those who carry great care in how we develop. Funny Faces is every family, regardless of the physical place we call home. In fact, it is a series about how home is the people we surround ourselves with, not the bricks and mortar that give us shelter.
