Bhaktapur is an ancient Newar city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, With a population of more than 80,000, Bhaktapur has the best preserved old city in Nepal and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 2015 Nepal earthquake killed more than 8600 people, destroying thousands of houses and damaging many historic sites throughout Nepal.
