Dreamscapes

"Dreams are the royal road to the unconscious" - Sigmund Freud. The best way I have found for me to express my experiences with the ‘uncanny’ is through the depiction of my own dreams and by creating these photographs, it finally allows this feeling to manifest itself in my reality. Coupled with photography's laws of subjectivity, the whole process has become a paradox, underpinning our perceived reality and exposing us to the anxieties of the sublime. It is in this 'unknowing' then, we find this hole that we all so desperately try and fill. By only being able to remember the smallest of details I have created these isolated, mystical and surreal worlds into which you, the viewer can dive.
