Marriage is a multidimensional ceremony as far as ritual is concerned and somewhere it is directly linked with the society and social concept may be it psychologically or scientifically or economically. Galore of rituals, concepts are indulged in marriage whenever it comes for subcontinent like Europe, America, Asia, Africa.
Kanakanjali is a bengali wedding ritual where the bride is supposed to throw rice to her mother in back without showing her face and say that she has repaid all the debt of her parents' .
This photo essay is depicted on a girl who is on her way out from her own home for her husband's home based on West Bengal, India in the district called Nadia. As per Hindu ritual after the wedding, a woman has to live with her husband for the rest of her life in husband's house after leaving her own house. This photo essay portrayed that particular moment which is extremely emotional where the newly wed bride is one her way out and ready to step into the new world with her husband , leaving her parents and family.
