For the last 2 years I have been going to Brazil during Carnaval. I started photographing a group of artists from different backgrounds and countries get together with the local community to create music and costumes. Downtown Rio is famous for it's dangerous areas and isolation, however, during Carnaval it gets transformed into an open party land. This project makes me reconnect with my Brazilian roots and community.
