The Unseen Poem is a series of 21 photographs (10 submitted here) that explore the idea of what it's been to be alive for me. Birth, rebirth, relationships, having children, being loved or not, change and transformation...
The photographs took 18 months to take, partly due to a hectic 'day job' and family life, partly due to the fact that I tried to conceive of each image in my minds eye before I sourced items in and around my home, garden and local supermarket.
I wanted to keep the images as analogue as possible, even through they were taken with a Fujifilm GFX100 megapixel camera. I used very bare minimum of photoshop (to remove fishing wire, where an egg or cocoa seed are suspended and the conversion to black and white.
It has been a true journey of discovery and I truly hope you enjoy looking at these photographs as much as I have enjoyed making them.
