Borgarhóll

In May 2022 I went to visit the farm in which my grandmother grew up in. It was about to be teared down and I wanted to see it for the last time. My grandmother, who recently passed away, was to sick to go inside so I took the pictures to show to her. She told me about the things that I photographed as well as some stories of people from the past that came to visit the farm. My family has a country house on the land so I go there a couple of times a year and feel very connected to this place. I will always cherish those memories. Borgarhóll is located in the north of Iceland in Eyjafjarðarsveit which is close to Akureyri (the largest town outside the Capital Region).
