The Seascapist

This series combines nostalgia with the relation of man with the ocean. Nostagia because it throws me right back to my childhood, a large part of which I spent at the belgian coast. That is most probably also the reason why I used soft retro tones which at the same time render tyhe series a cinematographic look. On the other hand, the relation of man with the ocean has always fascinated me. Overpowering and mystical as the ocean may be, it is tranquilizing and offering peace of mind at the same time. These photos were shot in Cambrils, a lovely coastal town at the Spanish Costa Dorada when I was staying there with a friend who lives there
