As a photographer, but also a veterinarian, I was inspired by the amazing work of rural women in our own region of Gers.
Too often, when we talk about rural women, the images that come to mind are those of women in faraway, developing countries, working in difficult conditions. But I wanted to change that perspective. I wanted to show that rural women are here, in our country, and that they carry out essential and remarkable work.
The women I photographed represent the diversity of our campaigns. Their jobs vary, but they all share a remarkable work ethic, ensuring animal welfare and the preservation of our environment. For me, these women embody the strength, resilience and beauty of rural life.
This project was a real passion for me. Having rural roots, a deep connection with animals and nature, I took immense pleasure in highlighting them through my lens.
