I got my first Polaroid SX 70 camera as a birthday gift at 17 years of age, I still use the same camera today, in fact one of the photos submitted was taken in 1985 with the very same camera. I generally work with old cameras and expired film, using a variety of techniques to manipulate or destroy the image. In the work I question the viewer to accept abstract photographs they way they might accept an abstract painting - without the need to cling to a familiar image.
